Reuters reported that Volvo, the world’s second largest truck maker said its truck shipments rose 25% in October. The report also states Volvo has reduced its forecast for the scale of future recovery due to the European debt crisis.
According to the Reuters report, Volvo forecasts overall European truck sales rising to 240,000 units in 2011, up from 179,000 units in 2010. For North America, it expects the market to sell 210,000 trucks this year.
Volvo said unit shipments in October were up 43% in North America and rose 21% in Europe. In Asia, deliveries were up 28%.
